Urunboi Usmonov, a BBC reporter jailed in Tajikistan a month ago over alleged links to a banned Islamic group, will be released from custody later on Thursday, Tajikistan's Prosecutor General Sherkhon Samilzoda said. The charges against him will not be dropped and he will be subject to travel restrictions. Samilzoda said President Emomali Rakhmon had been informed about the decision. Usmonov, 59, was arrested on charges of belonging to the radical Islamic movement Hizb-ut-Tahrir, which he and the BBC have denied.
