Chelsea Handler has joined forces with Netflix to "revolutionize the talk show."
The streaming giant announced Thursday that the 39-year-old comedian was signed to host a new talk show that will be available to stream in early 2016.
In the meantime, Netflix will air Handler's upcoming one-hour stand up performance Uganda Be Kidding Me Live on October 10, months after the special is taped in Chicago on Friday.
Then in 2015 Chandler will star and produce in a docu-series that will document her attempt to "gain a better understanding on a variety of subjects ranging from NASCAR to politics and from Silicon Valley to the NBA draft."
"If I was going to continue working in this industry, I knew I had to do something outside the box to keep myself interested," the talk show host said in a statement. "I wanted to sit with the cool kids at lunch so I approached Netflix to make sure they were as cool as I thought they were, and when I confirmed my suspicions, like with any other future lover, I made my move."
"I'm more excited than I've been in awhile, and the team at Netflix is the most forward thinking, alert group I've sat down with in ages. No offense to the Shahs Of Sunset," she added.
Two months ahead of the culmination of her E! talk show Chelsea Lately, Handler told the Daily Mail she was quitting because she doesn't "really care about Justin Bieber and I don't want to talk about him anymore."
"I want to talk to people who are going to educate me. Politicians, medical professionals and people with real human interest stories," she explained at the time.
