Cairo - MENA

The Interior Ministry denied on Sunday Al Masry Al Youm newspaper's claims published in a report today, an official at the Interior Ministry media center said.

The ministry has remarks on Al Masry Al Youm's report concerning the police, published today under the title "Police.. Martyrs and Sins.. Holes in Uniform".

The official said the ministry will take legal measures against this report.

He asserted that the ministry is serving the people and is working under the umbrella of the law.

He pointed out that the motive behind such report is a recent incident in which the ministry filed a complaint against an Al Masry Al Youm editor and the editor–in-chief after publishing false news that stirred up public opinion.
