Ramallah - Maan

The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate on Monday warned of an ongoing "crackdown" against Palestinians by some Egyptian media outlets. The syndicate said some Egyptian journalists were inciting against the Palestinians as a people, and not just those who live in Egypt. "This is a very dangerous and slanderous trend unfit for the Egyptian media which has always played epic roles in cooperation and brotherhood," the PJS said in a statement. The union urged its Egyptian counterpart to take action against "such behavior which harms the image of Egyptian media as well as the Arab national fabric." The PJS added that it follows the Palestinian factions and leadership in maintaining that Palestinians should never intervene in internal Egyptian affairs.
