The company owning the rights of live broadcasting of the AFC Asian Cup for football 2015 has refused to sell its transmition rights, said media official Yousif Mustafa on Monday.
The company's refusal is considered a bothersome issue for fans of football in Kuwait and the GCC countries, Assistant Undersecretary for TV affairs at the Ministry of Information told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
The Ministry will therefore send a team of reporters to cover the tournament to be held in Australia from 9 to 31 January, he said, adding that Kuwait's sports channel will provide a full coverage for the national team's activity in the event.
