Cinemas are open during the holy month of Ramadan, said theatre officials on Sunday.
“Unlike the past few years, we are open this year in the afternoons,” an official of VOX cinemas in Muscat said. However, he clarified that they can only screen PG (parental guidance) and general category movies. “We can only show movies which are open for all ages,” the official said.
This is being done to just to respect in the holy month of Ramadan. But after 9pm, the cinemas are open for all categories. In 2016, cinemas houses were open from 9 pm to 1 am in the morning.
