Justice Minister Ahmed el-Zend
Cairo - MENA

Justice Minister Ahmed el Zend stressed on Sunday that the ministry is sparing no efforts so that electronic litigation would be applicable in Egypt in few months.

Zend, speaking while opening a training program on electronic litigation process at the Judicial Studies Center, said he is trying to improve the status of Egyptian courts, offer better services to litigants and facilitate litigation process.

He noted that many Arab countries have already applied electronic litigation experiment.

It is time to end computer illiteracy in the Justice Ministry, he said, adding that learning computer has to be obligatory starting from the coming judicial year.

This goes for judges and staffers as well, he said.

Financial privileges would be offered to hard-workers, he promised.

Judges have to make their own miracle to bring Egypt to electronic judiciary world, he said.

"The judicial system is the first factor investors look for when mulling any investments in any country," he said, urging judges across the country to "work hard to build the nation we are all aspiring for."
