Facebook says more than 17 million users this week have generated about 45 million posts related to the US government shutdown. Male users have been making more posts about the shutdown than women by about 37 percent, the social networking site said. Online activity surrounding the shutdown is up as people vent their frustration and opinions, Facebook said. Among the top-rated terms contained in postings are Obama, shutdown, Congress, GOP and Obamacare, ZDNet reported Thursday. As of Thursday morning the 55-64 age group was tops in number of posts, Facebook said, followed by those 45-54 and then 35-44. Geographically, Washington, D.C., is tops in posting activity, followed by Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia and Alaska, the site said.
