Jordan Green Building Council (GBC) and Bayt.com, the largest job site in the Middle East, on Sunday signed a cooperation agreement to set up the greenjobsarabia.com website, specializing in environment and green economy related jobs.
The agreement, which was signed on the sidelines of the third Eco-Cities forum in the Dead Sea by GBC's Chairman Abdullah Bdeir and the Vice President of Product at Bayt.com, Omar Tahboub, is set to facilitate the search for suitable candidates in the field of the environment and green economy and classify applicants as per the needs of any employer and his preferences.
Bdeir said that activating the specialized labor market in the field of sustainable environmental practices across the region, facilitating the process of hiring qualified personnel in this sector and enabling them to find the right job, is a key objective of the GBC and its regional network.
He added that the new website will be the first of its kind in the region in terms of specialization in the field of environmental sustainability and will support the development of this important sector.
Tahboub stressed that the new website will expedite the process of recruiting talent in the field of environment and sustainable development, by identifying and shortlisting suitable candidates matching the requirements and needs of each individual employer and his preferences.
Jordan Green Building Council (GBC) is a professional non-profit Jordanian association founded in 2009 that aims at propagating the concept of efficient and environment friendly buildings and enhancing their practical applications on the ground.
