YouTube on Friday began online screenings of a selection of short films being showcased at the Sundance Film Festival underway in an enclave in the mountains of Utah. A Screening Room channel hosted by the Sundance Institute features 12 of the 64 short films slated to debut at the festival, YouTube entertainment marketing team member Raymond Braun said in a blog post. "Sundance is known for its diverse range of films, and with everything from trippy cats and zombies to a rooster king and an ambitious rodeo cowboy," Braun said. "The Screening Room shorts are no exception." The Sundance Institute will continue to curate the Screen Room channel after the festival ends January 27, according to the Google-owned online video sharing service.
