Turkish President Abdullah Gul has 3,530,000 followers on the social network Twitter. Gul who owns also a Facebook, YouTube, Flickr and Twitter account is a President who uses the latest technology to develop institutional relationships and build direct contact with the public. Gul created his Twitter account on January 9, 2009 and has shared photos of his visits and information about his programs. Gul answered questions if he wore expensive watches on his Twitter account and shared pictures of the classic Cadillac he drives. US President Barack Obama's Twitter account has more than 30 million followers and took the first place. After the demise of Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez, who had 4,230,000 followers, Gul took the second place.
