The executive team of the E-Government Initiative at the Communications and Technology Ministry is carrying out work, against tough odds, to launch the e-government project, which is designed to provide citizens with electric and instant services.
Head of the Initiative’s team Ahmad Basel al-Khashi, Assistant Minister of Communications and Technology, said the ministry and the team are currently carrying out many projects and coordinating with a number of public section institutions with the aim of completing the work posthaste and being able to provide instant services, including paying bills and obtaining official documents, to all citizens in any area in the country.
Head of Digital Transformation Department at the Ministry, Fadwa Murad, said the team established, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), two e-gates that will enter service soon.
Murad said the e-gate EGov.sy aims at offering digital services in simple methods and providing all citizens with means to obtain the governmental documents they need.
