An hour of South African content will be aired daily from 2 April by the Mzansi Magic pay-TV channel from African broadcaster M-Net. The first season of M-Net soap The Wild will be shown from Monday to Thursday at 8pm, followed by South Africa's first telenovela, Inkaba, at 8.30pm. "The dose of soapie and telenovela flavoured, locally produced shows in the primetime 8pm to 9pm slot is a superb addition to Mzansi Magic's already popular programming mix," said Lebone Maema, channel manager, Mzansi Magic. "We have seen (The Wild) gain a loyal and substantial audience during its run on M-Net and are excited that DStv Compact subscribers can now also have access to this phenomenal production. The fit with Mzansi Magic's homegrown content and as part of the back to back local entertainment hour with Inkaba could not be better." Inkaba, set in the glitzy world of fashion, stars John Kani, Ernest Ndlovu, Nakedi Ribane and Dumisani Mbebe; while the cast of The Wild – shot around a five star game lodge – includes Ian Roberts, Shona and Connie Ferguson, and Tumisho Masha.
