Alexandria University will be hosting its first annual conference "Health: daughter of all sciences" at the end of the year, on December 26-28, presided by Professor Osama Ibrahim. Professor Sedik Abdul Salam, Deputy Head of Research at Alexandria University, said that scientific research would push the development of the community forward, hence the idea of the conference. Professor Sedik also declared that cash prizes and appreciation certificates will be given to the best student researchers and their supervisors. The conference will be attended by leading scientists and researchers in Egypt, the Arab World and Europe, as well as university faculty members. The university also invited a number of students from various colleges and institutes of the university to give them a chance to give their vision and suggestions to help develop university plans for the improvement of teaching and scientific research. Themes of the conference revolves around health, biology and modern sciences, as well as arts, sports, culture, hospitals and other medical institutions. Workshop and lectures about public health, economics, hospital management, music therapy and psychology will be available. An art exhibition will also be held in relation to the conference. The exhibition will feature artwork of lecturers and graduate students at the faculties of Fine Arts and Education. There will also be an artistic ceremony to represent talented students from Alexandria University .
