Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayyeb said Al Azhar was ready to support Cameroon in the educational and preaching domains.
During a meeting with Cameroonian Ambassador to Egypt Mohamadou Labarang on Sunday, Tayyeb said the highest religious institution was also keen to offer scholarships to Cameroonian students and establish Azhar institutes in the African country.
For his part, the Cameroonian envoy said the Azhar mission in his country is being well cared of by the government, which appreciates Azhar envoys' efforts in spreading the true Islam.
