Manama - BNA

His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, thanked the Bahraini people for their profound feelings of support to security, stability, and legitimacy in Bahrain. The meeting, chaired by the Prime Minister, also stressed its support to the Egyptian leadership and to the stability of Egypt, as well as the rejection by Bahrain of all acts of terror targeting the security of Egypt and the region, the Official Spokesperson for the Government, Sameera Rajab said. The ministers approved the memorandum presented by the Minister of Labour, on implementing the recruitment of 1,912 university graduates by the end of 2014. According to the memorandum, the government aims to train, rehabilitate and provide suitable jobs for the graduates on the list. It calls for addressing the difficulties these graduates -- mostly in humanities, social sciences and applied geography -- face as a result of dwindling demand in their specialities in the labour market. As part of this project, the ministry has succeeded in rehabilitating, training and employment of 1199 university graduates in the private and public sectors, the Spokesperson added. A memorandum extending the agreement of Bahrain Aviation Fuelling Company (BAFCO) was presented by Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa -- the Minister of Finance with additional charge of National Oil and Gas Affairs. BAFCO is responsible for the management, operation and supply of jet fuel at Bahrain International Airport, she said. The cabinet also discussed the memorandum presented by the labour minister on the achievements of his ministry in 2013, said Rajab. The memorandum includes efforts of the ministry in promoting economic and social development, protecting both national and expatriate workforce, containing unemployment rates to manageable levels, providing a qualified Bahraini workforce, promoting the atmosphere of trust between employers and employees as well as giving an impetus to the process of social dialogue between social partners. Proposals referred to the cabinet by the Council of Representatives were approved included the investment of a retirement fund and the Social Insurance Organization in the industrial sector, allocation of part of the housing projects to divorced, widowed, and spinsters and the development of family counselling offices. The proposals also addressed the removal of old telecommunication towers located on land allocated for the housing project in East Hidd and the establishment of offices under the Nationality, Passports and Residence Directorate in all governorates of the Kingdom to clear the citizens transactions. HRH the Prime Minister thanked the Bahraini people for their profound feelings of support to security, stability, and legitimacy in Bahrain. The cabinet also announced its support to the Egyptian leadership, and the stability of Egypt, as well as the rejection by Bahrain of all acts of terror targeting the security of Egypt and the region.
