Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi met heretoday the Senior Programme Specialist at the United Nations Educational, Scientificand Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) Dr. Hashim Abdul-Wahab.They discussed cooperation in developing guidance and vocational counseling forintermediate students in order to help them in choosing the suitable learning tracksin high school, programmes required by the supervisors of the guidance andcounseling process and design the requirements of the vocational diploma for highschool. They reviewed steps that the Ministry intends to take within the framework of itsproject to develop the technical and vocational education for high schools' students,the appropriate training programmes for students in high school and suitableprofessional and technical specialisations for girls.Dr. Abdul-Wahab evaluated the developed technical and vocational education in thekingdom of Bahrain in light of his previous visit and the reports prepared on this matter, as it was agreed to continue this effort to put a comprehensive strategicplan so as to enhance this sector in all aspects (curriculum, programmes, guidanceand vocational counseling).
