Teachers will be back to work on September 1, and students will join their classes a week later, on September 8, Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi announced. Speaking during his Ramadan majlis, Dr. Al-Nuaimi said that preparations are in full swing for the new academic year in order to finish the regular maintenance works and ready schools to receive students and the administrative and teaching staff. He added that Ghazi Al-Qusaibi Secondary Girls School , and the building and multi-purpose hall at the Samaheej Intermediate Boys School will be opened officially at the beginning of the new school year. He pointed out that the Ministry has provided 650 buses for about 34000 students and 11 ones for students with special needs, adding that primary and intermediate schools have already received books and the secondary one will get them in a date not exceeding August 25. He explained that the Education Ministry provides private schools with Islamic Education, Arabic, Social subjects and Education for Citizenship books for free. He added that 10500 students will enter schools for the first time.
