Educaiton Minister Hazwan al-Waz affirmed his ministry's commitment to implementing the memo of understanding signed with Islamic Relief France (SIF; Secours Islamique France) for rehabilitating schools and health facilities in temporary housing centers. During a meeting on Wednesday with executive director of SIF Mahieddine Khelladi and SIF programs director in Syria Maher al-Kbeisi, Minister al-Was said the ministry is continuing to provide services to the children of families in temporary housing centers and raising awareness about the effects of the crisis in Syria on children. Al-Waz reviewed his ministry's performance during the crisis, voicing hope for expanding cooperation with SIF. For his part, Khelladi pointed out to the facilitations provided by the education Ministry which had a significant role in restoring schools, affirming SIF's commitment to provide support to ensure the continuation of the education process in Syria. Islamic Relief France is one of the top five French humanitarian organizations. It operates in 15 countries, and its activities in Syrian began in 2009. Source: SANA
