The Ministry of Education, in cooperation with the Higher Council for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities (HCD), is implementing a national plan to equip schools across Jordan to receive students with disabilities. Under the first phase of the plan, which includes the Princess Alia Secondary School for Girls and the Bseira Secondary School for Boys, special corridors will be established to facilitate the passage of students in wheelchairs, according to a statement issued by the HCD on Sunday. Meanwhile, the HCD said it had prepared a plan to train cadres working with people with disabilities (PWD) at the Ministry of Social Development and its affiliated institutions and at special education centres.
