Abu Dhabi - Arabstoday

For many pupils in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, June was a month of hectic study and exams. On Tuesday, on the other hand, was a day of reckoning as the Abu Dhabi Education Council (Adec) announced that exam results for Grade 12 pupils are now available online. Parents and schoolchildren enrolled in both the Science and Arts streams can access these results by logging online to the Electronic Student Information System’s (eSIS) Parent Assistant. In addition, the Adec website and the Abu Dhabi e-Government portal also contain relevant information on the results. Mohammad Salem AlDhaheri, executive director of school operations at the Adec, confirmed that the process of posting the results for pupils enrolled in public schools, private schools and adult education centres, as well as home learners, began on Monday afternoon. Nearly 23,000 text messages were also sent out to parents to notify them about the grades.“Students were able to access their results through entering their number via websites allocated by Adec for that purpose. Students who passed have access to their final score and percentage, while no results are shown for those who have failed,” Al-Dhaheri said. he Adec earlier announced that a total of 16,331 pupils in public and private schools, adult education centres and homeschooled pupils sat for the Grade 12 final exams this year. Report cards will also be distributed starting today at Adec customer service centres in Abu Dhabi city, Al Ain and Al Gharbia. Statistics on Grade 12 pupil’s performance in the 2011-2012 academic year will also soon be made available. from gulfnews.com
