The Indian Scholarship and Trust Fund (ISTF) is providing financial assistance to qualified Malaysian students of Indian origin pursuing studies at universities, colleges, polytechnics and selected institutions in Malaysia for the academic year 2011-12. In a statement here today, the High Commission of India said the financial assistance was only supplementary in nature and would not cover the full cost of studies. Application forms can be obtained directly from the high commission's education section or downloaded from the education webpage of its website, www.indianhighcommision.com.my/education.php. The statement said that previous recipients of the ISTF's financial assistance, who were still pursuing the same course of study, were eligible to re-apply for the assistance for another one time. "They need to submit the ISTF's application form, along with their latest mark sheets and proof of study," it added.
