The Tanque Verde High School student council has organized a charity dance for a school in Uganda. The dance will be Saturday at the Tucson Convention Center in the Copper Ballroom from 8 to 11 p.m. It is open to all high school students with a valid 2011-12 school identification card. The money raised will go to Keframa College in northern Uganda. The majority of students at Keframa are orphaned or living in poverty. The student council's goals include providing food for students and access to a safe water supply closer to the school than the current hole in the ground. Electrical improvements also are needed. Tickets for the Legacy charity dance are $15. They can be bought online at tanqueverdeschools.3dcartstores.com/Legacy-Dance_p_291.html or at the door.
