Health Ministry undersecretary Amr Qandil said 149 students were discharged from hospital after they suffered from food poisoning after taking a food meal in Kafr El-Sheikh. They were examined and treated, Qandil said, adding that one student is still under observation at hospital. The ministry dispatched a committee to Kafr El-Sheikh to follow up the students' condition, Qandil said in an official statement issued by the ministry on Monday. The committee took samples from the school meal, the water and students' vomit to be analyzed and determine the cause of the food poisoning symptoms that a few of them have displayed. He added that the committee has examined the place where the school meals are stored to ensure that health conditions were fulfilled. The Ministry of Health has announced earlier that a number of students have fallen sick after eating a school meal in Kafr El-Sheikh
