Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Ahmad Al-Mulaifi on Wednesday greatly appreciated the positive cooperation between the government and the parliament over educational issues. Speaking to reporters following a parliamentary session held today, the minister said this executive-legislative cooperation, which was reflected at yesterday's and today's sessions, had led to the passage of two bills on Al-Shedadiya University and obligatory education. He said the parliamentary educational and cultural committee was asked to look into reasons for shutting down some departments at Kuwait University colleges. But, he cushioned the difference that happened during the parliament session over the Al-Shedadiya University law extension as a procedural, not objective, matter, saying that the State Audit Bureau would look into the problem.
