Over 1,500 Kuwaiti students gathered in Beverly Hills, California to attend the 28th annual conference of the National Union of the Kuwaiti Students US branch, which is held under the patronage of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah. The four-day conference is held under the theme (aspiring generation; homeland restoring glories). It is an opportunity for Kuwaiti students studying here to interact among themselves and to interact with several Kuwaiti officials and figures who are keen on attending this national event. Many events are held on the sidelines of the conference, in addition to the students' union elections. There is a number of seminars with religious, economic, political, and cultural focus, as well as a jobs opportunity exhibition. Last year, "Al-Wihda" student group won the elections of the NUKS-USA against "Student Future". Various activities and entertainment events are also to be held, such as a soccer match, a stand-up comedy event, and a film screening.(end) si.wsa KUNA 240901 Nov 11NNNN
