Malaysia evacuates 58 students from Damascus
Kuala Lumpur - BNA
The Malaysian Embassy in Damascus evacuated 58 Malaysian students to Beirut in order to board a flight on board a commercial plane to Kuala Lumpur today. Malaysian President Najib Abdulrazaque, issued instructions last Saturday ordering immediate repatriation of all Malaysian citizens from Syria including the Malaysian Embassy staff members in view of rapid deterioration of the security situation there. The Malaysian Government decided to shut down its Embassy in Syria for security exigencies.
