Minister of Education Ahmad Al-Mulaifi underlined importance of raising children on the values of respect of time, science and dedication because they were the future generation of Kuwait. Al-Mulaifi, also Minister of Higher Education, said the Ministry of Education was keen on interacting with the parents with the objective of improving education as a whole. He was speaking in a seminar held at Mulla Sulaiman Al-Khunaini School in Khaldiya Area about the development of primary school education. Al-Mulaifi said the education ministry would focus in future on promotion of competitiveness and creativity among students. Assistant Undersecretary for Curricula and Educational Research Dr. Saud Al-Harbi said the ministry was keen on reaching out to the parents to listen to their views that would contribute to the improvement of education. The ministry has realized that there is a necessity to improving the skills of teachers to be able to teach the fundamentals. The ministry also believed in importance of physical education and teaching students principles of Islam, as well as reading.
