PML-Q Secretary General and Chairman Senate Defence Committee, Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, has said that the calendar of Pakistan’s founding year 1947 and 2014 have not only similarities in the sequence of days but also in the sense that 1947 was the year of withdrawal of the British Empire from the region and hopefully 2014 will be proven as the year of withdrawal of US and NATO forces from Afghanistan. He was addressing an interactive session ‘Catch the Moment with Mushahid Hussain’ organized by NUST Bazm-e-Pakistan (NBPK) on Wednesday to discuss the country’s past, present, future, successes and failures. He also said that the bright future of Pakistan is in the hands of no one but educated and talented youth who will move Pakistan forward toward peace and prosperity. Mushahid, paying rich tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, termed him the man of character who changed the destiny of millions of Muslims of the sub-continent. “Women and Youth Wing were the most effective wings of Muslim League of that time, under the dynamic leadership of Quad-e-Azam, who played the vital role in the independence of Pakistan and without the practical support of his sister and mother of nation Mohatarma Fatima Jinnah, it was quite difficult to achieve the goal”.
