The National Union of Kuwaiti Students (NUKS) elected on Tuesday its administrative board council and the executive committee, at the conclusion of the 24th NUKS general conference, sponsored by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. NUKS President of the board and executive committee, Mohammad Mashaan told KUNA that the elections took place at the end of the two-day conference, noting that he heads both entities upon members' recommendations. Mashaan added that the conference coincided with NUKS' 50th anniversary, "which gives it a unique flavor from other conferences," noting the union holds its conference once every two years. This year's conference also aimed at informing the attendees of NUKS work, and promoting the students' work in community. Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah represented His Highness the Crown Prince at the inauguration ceremony of the conference. The conference, which was held at Sheikh Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Theater in Shuwaikh Campus, was under the theme "Kuwaiti students' movement rich history and promising future."
