About 148,000 pupils will begin their new academic year at schools in Sharjah and Ajman Sunday. Schools have completed all preparations, Humaid Mohammad Obaid Al Qutami, Minister of Education, said yesterday. As many as 107,856 pupils will return to schools in Sharjah and some 40,000 in Ajman Al Qutami announced the launching of an education forum that involves schools, educators and administrators to discuss various matters to improve the education system. "The first week of school will focus on a programme called "Marhaba My School" to strengthen the alliance between guardians, schools and educators. Each school will hold an open house with parents to discuss matters of importance," the minister said.
