The Public Authority for Applied Education and Training on Monday held a 2012-13 graduation ceremony for all of the diploma colleges it manages in the attendance of National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim. The event was also attended by Ministry of Education and Minister of Higher Education Ahmad Al-Mulaifi and the PAAET Director General Ahmad Al-Athari. In a keynote speech, Speaker Al-Ghanim stressed the importance of commitment to learning and research. "The world around you is fast-paced and is forever flowing. What we learn today we can accomplish tomorrow, and only those who are committed to learning, receiving and thinking can keep up with the requirements of this age. Learning does not stop when we receive our academic credentials." He encouraged the graduates not only to seek opportunities in public institutions, but to look further "to personal entrepreneurial opportunities, to think differently and to think confidently about making decisions that determine their future." The lawmaker, accompanied by the PAAET chief, then proceeded to hand out certificates to the graduates
