His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has affirmed that Bahrain has been, and will remain an oasis of security and stability thanks to the government's sound policies to maintain law and order through providing highly qualified and professional cadres who are capable of assuming their security duties within total commitment to human treatment and respect of human rights and civil liberties. "There is no room for compromise when it comes to the security of the homeland," he said, affirming that violence is unacceptable according to religious, ethical and human principles. "It is through security and stability, not sabotage, that the nation can progress," he stressed. This came as HRH Premier patronised here today the graduation ceremony of the fifth batch of the students of the Royal Academy of Police (RAP). HRH Premier appreciated highly the security forces' hard-work, dedication and bravery in performing their duties, adding that police officers have set themselves as examples of redemption, fidelity and loyalty to the cherished nation. He pointed out that the security personnel's outstanding skills and advanced competence testify to the endeavours of the government, represented by the Interior Ministry, to keep abreast of the latest development in police sciences in order to build a modern police force that is capable of providing the security and stability requirements of the nation, through the application of hi-tech systems according to well-studied scientific plans. HRH Premier expressed satisfaction at the graduates' high discipline and professionalism, matching those of the most advanced in the world, which, he said, means that security is a steadily developing and renewing concept. HRH Prime Minister congratulated the graduates and their parents and wished them every success in assuming their national duties, along with security colleagues, urging them to develop their skills through taking advantage of the latest innovations in police science in order to be able to deal with all challenges. On his part, Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa said that all the Ministry's affiliates were honoured by HRH Premier's patronage and attendance of the graduation ceremony, adding that such a care and honouring will motivate the Interior Ministry to exert more efforts to assume its responsibility of safeguarding national achievements in accordance with laws and regulations, as well the principles outlined in the Constitution and the National Action Charter, the pillars of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's pioneering Reform Project. Shaikh Rashid extended, on behalf of all Interior Ministry's affiliates, sincere thanks and gratitude to HM King Hamad, HRH Premier and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, for their constant support to the Ministry and all its bodies. He also explained that the 85 students of the fifth batch have acquired the necessary skills and expertise and are qualified to join the security personnel. On arrival, HRH Premier was welcomed by the Interior Minister and senior officials from the Ministry. Then, the National Anthem was played, and HRH Premier was greeted by the graduates who staged a military parade. After some Holy Quran verses were recited, RAP Deputy Commander delivered a statement in which he asserted that efforts to prepare and rehabilitate the security personnel are in the right track thanks to the farsightedness and wise leadership of HM the King, noting that the fifth batch students have, over the past four years, been prepared mentally, physically and psychologically according to the latest and most modern legal, police, administrative and humanities curricula and received the most advanced training in order to be able to undertake their security and police duties within the framework of the law. Next, the graduates were sworn in as officers and then HRH Premier awarded top achievers. After that, Interior Ministry's senior officers and RAP educational staff greeted HRH Premier who issued sound directives to them on the need to upgrade security work, commending their efforts to safeguard national security and stability. Then, HRH Premier left the ceremony and was cheered by those present. In the end, the Interior Minister presented the graduates with certificates, urging them to apply what they have learnt into the ground. He also wished a successful career.
