Under the auspices of HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education and Secretary General of the Supreme Education Council Saad bin Ibrahim Al-Mahmoud, a two-day Forum of the Boards of Trustees of Qatar''s schools will be held tomorrow under the theme '' Reality and Challenges''. The Forum, to be held at the Four Seasons Hotel, will be attended by a gathering of licenses owners, members of boards of trustees, parents, educators, decision makers, media men, researchers and all those concerned with the educational process. The sponsorship of the Supreme Education Council comes in implementation of the developmental and promotional measures which it takes in order to activate the role of boards of trustees and to devote its successful examples. The forum aims to raise awareness and educate the community on the role of boards of trustees and enhance cooperation between the boards through the exchange of experiences and best practices, discussion of mechanisms for their involvement in school decisions including the promotion of awareness of partnership in education in general and to identify its fields and foundations. It also aims to characterize the functions, responsibilities and duties of each party to the communal partnership, particularly the highlighting of the pivotal role of the boards of trustees in achieving the communal control and how to support schools, as well as the review of challenges and difficulties that limit the activation of this role.
