Minister of Education, Dr. Hazwan al-Wazz, stressed on Tuesday the need to deliver the school books to all areas before the start of the study year scheduled on September, 15th. During a meeting with the provinces' education directors, Dr. al-Wazz said that the school books are being secured despite the obstacles hindering the process, adding that the armed terrorist groups have burnt huge amounts of these books and looted vehicles carrying them in several areas. Education Minister highlighted that 2994 schools suffered vandalism acts, adding that 232 personnel affiliated to the education sector and 101 students were martyred. "The Ministry started work to rehabilitate 442 schools," al-Wazz said, adding that 683 schools are currently being used as makeshift residential centers.
