Syrian students have been encouraged to apply for Erasmus Mundus scholarships for courses in a wide range of academic disciplines for undergraduates, masters students, PhD candidates and post-doctoral research. According to the Enpi website (www.enpi-info.eu),the Delegation of the European Union in Damascus said the Erasmus Mundus programme of scholarships for study in a European university was extended to all Syrian students, ''particularly those in vulnerable situations, either inside or outside Syria''. EU Delegations in the region where Syrians may be temporarily residing, as well as EU embassies and relevant international organisations, will extend the message that Syrians are encouraged to apply for the scholarships. Applications are received on-line. Study scholarships can be from three months to three years, at a European university. The deadline depends on the particular course selected, but most Erasmus Mundus consortia of universities require applications in the last quarter of 2012.
