Terengganu will have its first university hospital with the construction of the Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin Hospital next year. Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said said the federal government had given its approval to the proposed project, to be built on a 100 hectare site beside the university's main campus in Gong Badak here. He said the first phase of the project, expected to cost about RM800 million, would begin next year. "The Terengganu people have waited for so long for this hospital," he told reporters after presenting the e-book to primary school students here Sunday. Ahmad said the Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin Hospital would be on par with the other university hospitals in the country, like the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Hospital (HUKM) in Kuala Lumpur and the Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital (HUSM) in Kubang Kerian, Kelantan.
