Education and Higher Learning Minister Hassan Diab toured Tuesday the secondary official exams centers in Sidon and Tyre, and checked on the students' conditions. "Calm, positivity and transparency prevails over the official exams," he said after the tour, indicating that the Ministry of Education had opened exam centers in Tyre to spare students the burden of long distance. In response to the students' issues amid the current power outage crisis, the Minister admitted that "political tensions and livelihood issues were hard to cope with, yet students rose to the level of this responsibility and assumed their duties to the fullest." As for teachers boycotting correction, Diab confirmed that contact is constant between the MOE, the teachers' leagues and the Ministry of Finance so as to finalize the ranks and salaries scale project and solve this matter as soon as possible.
