The new Dh3 billion campus of Zayed University in Abu Dhabi will open its doors to students on September 4 for a new academic year. Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and President of Zayed University, said the new Zayed University campus in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi, is an important addition to the higher education infrastructure in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the UAE at large. The new state-of-the-art campus, he added, underlines the commitment of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Education Council, to upgrade education and build human resources according to the highest international standards adopted by advanced countries. "The new campus will provide an ideal learning environment through its educational, academic, scientific and research facilities which have been designed and built on precise international specifications," Shaikh Nahyan said during a tour of the new campus last week.
