Cairo - MENA

Education Minister el Hilaly el Sherbiny said that 10 officials are being interrogated over the leaking of the Thanwiya Amma (high school) exams.

He said that all who have been suspected were referred to the general prosecution, adding that the government is keen on securing the future of the students.

During a press conference held at the Investment Ministry, el Sherbiny underlined that the decision of postponing some exams and retaking the Dynamics exams was made to maintain equal opportunities between the students and place high the values of transparency as well as honesty.

He further underscored that the hard-working student will not be harmed by retaking the exams.

After the Dynamics exam was leaked, a decision was made to cancel it and postpone the rest of the exams to preserve the rights of the students, the minister reiterated, noting that the Dynamics exam will be held on July 2, while the rest of the exams will be held on July 4.

He said also that there is a high-level coordination between the security and judicial bodies especially that leaking the exams harms the national security, noting that the penalty of this crime reaches a three-year imprisonment.
