Dr Lamine Cheriet from the University of Islamic Sciences in Constantine pleaded Tuesday in Algiers for a bicephalous executive power during the consultations on the revision of the Constitution.
After his meeting with the Minister of State, Chief of Staff of the Presidency of the Republic, Ahmed Ouyahia, who leads the consultations on the revision of the Constitution, Cheriet stressed "the need” to return to a "bicephalous executive."
Also, Cheriet stressed his proposals focused on issues related to amendments to the Council of the nation, the three powers (judiciary, legislative and executive) and the control of Parliament.
