A minimum of ten fresh graduates will be hired before the end of the year to begin work in the agriculture sector, revealed the Abu Dhabi Farmers’ Services Centre on the first day of NAJAH 2014. The ADFSC also announced that the organisation would be increasing its recruiting efforts in 2015 in line with national Emiratisation plans and scholarships would be on offer for outstanding candidates.
"NAJAH 2014 is an excellent outlet for ADFSC to speak directly to fresh graduates who are seeking more information about a potential career in the agriculture sector," said Rashed Abdualla Al Qubaisi, Human Recourses and Administration Director for Abu Dhabi Farmers’ Services Centre.
"ADFSC is currently looking for students who have studied Agriculture – especially Emirati candidates – and alternatively, ADFSC is proud to be offering scholarships to encourage high calibre applicants to enter the industry." Candidates will be vying for positions in a number of roles within the Abu Dhabi Farmers’ Services Centre. "We currently have positions open in technical and commercial services, all of which are essential positions that help farmers grow and market their produce. Other office-based support roles are available in human resources, customer service and more," said Al Qubaisi.
ADFSC technical services works to improve farming practices, resulting in higher production levels and better quality crops, whilst conserving the country’s environment.
Abu Dhabi Farmers’ Services Centre employees in commercial positions work with retailers through ADFSC’s retail brand - Local Harvest - to provide a secure supply of quality local produce fresh from Abu Dhabi farms. Candidates applying for open positions can submit applications at ADFSC’s booth at the NAJAH 2014 exhibition and suitable candidates may be hired immediately.
