Education Minister and Chairman of the Bahrain National Commission for UNESCO Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi chaired here today the Commission's meeting in the presence of the Commission's members.
The minutes of the previous Commission's meeting were approved, then the panel discussed the topics on its agenda, including Bahrain's participation in UNESCO's 37th session of the General Conference.
The panel was informed about the decisions of the International Bureau of Education (UNESCO-IBE)'s steering meeting , the recommendations of the 23rd conference of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States (ABEGS) held in Kuwait and UNESCO's Executive Board approval of extending King Hamad Isa Al-Khalifa Icts In Education Award as well as winning the Vice President seat of Arab Federation of UNESCO Clubs.
The panel reviewed the activities and workshops that has been conducted in coordination with related organisations as well as the role played by the committee of UNESCO- Associated Schools Project Network (ASPnet) and the preparations for receiving a team of experts and specialists in the field of technical and vocational education.
The panel approved a proposal of celebrating the 75th Anniversary since the inception of secondary school in Bahrain.
