Director of the Emirati Jordanian Camp, Mohamed Abdullah Al Shamsi, has met officials of the Jordanian Ministry of Education to discuss educational issues and promote coordination for schools at the refugee camp in Zarqa Governorate, northeast of the capital Amman.
The camp was opened in April 2013 and is funded by the United Arab Emirates to cope with the influx of refugees from Syria. It hosts 1945 male and female refugee students at two schools.
Dr. Noha Abu Hait, a ministry official, described the schools at the camp as very organised.
She praised the United Arab Emirates for its humanitarian support for the refugees.
The principals of the schools and representatives of relevant agencies operating at the camp participated in the meeting.
