The Palestinian Fatah Movement welcomed on Tuesday a motion passed by the UK’s National Union of Students calling to boycott Israel over violations committed against the Palestinians.

In a statement, the movement's spokesman Osama al Qawasmi described the motion as a "victory for humanity," against racial discrimination and colonialism.

The Union's executive council passed the motion 518, dubbed “Justice for Palestine,” with 19 members voting in favor, 12 against and three abstaining.

Qawasmi described the vote as proof that Israel would not be able to deceive the world anymore.
