The Ministry of Education has started recording interviews with veteran teachers.
The initiative aims at documenting the history of formal education which started around a century ago.
Assistant Undersecretary for Planning and Information Nawal Al-Khater stressed the importance of conserving collective educational memory for the posterity.
She describing the veteran teachers as trailblazers and living witness to Bahrain’s educational strides over the past decades.
“The veteran teachers have delivered important testimonies reflecting Bahrain’s educational evolution”, she said, urging more contributions to the ambitious project.
“Those interested can contribute with historical documents or arrange with the Public Relations and Media Directorate for a recorded testimony”, she said.
