Education Minister Mohammad Thneibat announced in a press conference on Sunday the results of the General Secondary Certificate Examination (Tawjihi) summer session.
The total number of students who registered for the summer session reached 126,773, of which 27,808 were from private schools.
"A total of 22,974 out of 57,141 academic stream students passed the exam with the pass ratio reaching of 40.2 percent.
The pass ratio stood at 60.3 per cent in the scientific stream, 16.9 per cent in the literary, 13.8 per cent in the Sharia, 32.1 per cent in the IT and 28.4 per cent in health education.
