Higher Education Minister Ashraf el Shehhi laid on Monday the foundation stone for the building of the University of Alexandria in the Chadian capital N'Djamena.
A statement by the Foreign Ministry quoting Egyptian ambassador to Chad Adham Mohamed Nagib as saying that the minister wrapped up his visit to Chad after attending the graduation ceremony of the first batch of students of Agriculture Faculty, Alexandria University branch in N'Djamena.
During the minister's visit, a cooperation protocol was signed between the Higher Education Ministry and its Chadian counterpart that included offering a number of scholarships for Chadian students in Egypt, exempting them from tuition fees and a student exchange program between the two countries, the diplomat added.
