IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) is the largest international professional organization, dedicated to promoting women engineers and scientists. Students of Effat university’s Electrical & Computer Engineering department were responsible for the winning projects. One team led a project on automated shipment sorting. Its objective is to sort packages automatically and efficiently, using a robotic arm, conveyors and bar codes. The other team focused on the possibilities of a computer-controlled helicopter.
