Kuwait University's College of Medicine was handed the prestigious Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences 2011-2012 in a ceremony held here on Monday as the field's best college in the Arab world. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Finance Minister presented the award, in its seventh edition during the ceremony held in Dubai, to the Kuwaiti educational establishment. Accepting the award on behalf the college was a delegation, headed by Kuwait University Rector Dr. Abdullatif Ahmad Al-Bader, including Dean and founder of medicine college, Dr. Abdul-mohsen Al-Abdul-razzaq, Deputy Director-General of medicine college, Basel Al-Naqeeb, Dean of medicine college, Adel Khader Ayed and Manager of KU for Scientific Affairs Dr. Ferial Bu Rabee.
